some French people hid him and tried to save him but sadly he died
of his wounds 1 June 1940. Aged 19. Born Lincoln, resident Lincolnshire.
Won an award at the Scunthorpe Music Festival for Pianoforte solo
for chldren under 10, 14 May 1930 [Article in Hull Daily Mail 14
May 1930, page 12]. Buried in DUNKIRK TOWN CEMETERY, Nord, France.
