The names for the Margate Air raids in World War 1 are listed here.

  • September 1915: Margate suffered its first major daylight air raid on September 13 when a German seaplane dropped ten bombs across the town. Victims included 40-year-old lodging-house keeper Agnes Elizabeth Robins and 43-year-old Kate Bonny.
  • September 1917: A deadly night raid on September 30 hit the Cliff Terrace and Trinity Square areas. Victims included soldier William Leonard Hollins, 43-year-old Ellen Marie Lee, and William Lewis Walker.
