The Ramsholt war memorial can be found outside the parish church and takes the form of a Celtic cross made from portalnd stone and a stepped base. Listed are the names of 7 men who gave their lives during World War 1 and 2 in World War 2 (these have not as yet been transcribed here). The memorial was unveiled May 1921 by Lady Quilter, mother of J A C Quilter listed on the memorial.. The Second World War names were added when the memorial was restored in 1990 at a cost of £346 15p, the mason was Mr F Masters who also resotred the memorial. Details were reported in the East Anglian Daily Times 30th May 1921.

BURCH	George William	Gunner 37457, 48th Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Died 17/01/1915. Age 22. Son of Joseph Burch of Ramsholt. Buried at St Sever Cemetery, Rouen
BUTT	Geoffrey Arthur Vernon	Private 5800, 9th (Queen’s Royal) Lancers. Died 21/11/1917. Age 23. Son of Mrs Eugenie Butt of Brook House, Edingley, Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial
CHAMBERS	Edgar	Private 19794, "B" Company, 3rd Battalion, Coldstream Guards. Died 11/10/1917. Age 19. Son of Horace and Anna Chambers of 122 Elm Row, Ramsholt. Buried at Artillery Wood Cemetery
CHAMBERS	Horace William	Private G/27598, 16th Battalion Middlesex Regiment, attached 183rd Field Company, Royal Engineers. Died 04/02/1917. Age 28. Son of Horace and Anna Chambers of 122 Elm Row, Ramsholt. Buried at St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen
COOK	Charles	Private 6166, 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment. Died 20/07/1916. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial
QUILTER	John Arnold Cuthbert	Lieutenant Colonel, Grenadier Guards, Commanding Hood Battalion, Royal Navy Division. Died 06/05/1915. Age 40. Son of Sir Cuthbert Quilter, Bart. and Lady Quilter of Bawdsey Manor, Woodbridge. Buried at Skew Bridge Cemetery, Turkey. Lieutenant Colonel Quilter is also commemorated on the War Memorials at Bawdsey, Shottisham and Sutton
