High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk (later of 7, Wortley Terrace, Mundesley,
Norfolk. He was christened 5 June 1892, in St. Andrew’s Church
in Hertford and was unmarried. After the outbreak of war he enlisted
in Lowestoft and originally served as 1441, Suffolk Cyclist Battalion.
Later, he transferred to the 11th Suffolks. He was entitled to the
War Medal 1914-1920 and the Victory Medal. No known grave. Commemorated
on PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL, Hainaut, Belgium. Panel 3.

by German submarine U-21 near St Abbs Head. A single torpedo hit
the forward magazine causing it to explode, Pathfinder sank in 4

World War 1. |
