28575 Edward Pryke Fyson was born in Newmarket End on 7th February
1888. He enlisted in the 72nd Canadian Expeditionary Force Canadian
Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) in Valcartier Canada on 7th September
1914. He served in France & Flanders and was killed in action on
3rd May 1915 aged 27. He is remembered on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial
Panel 24 - 26 - 28 - 30 and on Creeting St Peter War Memorial. He
was the son of the late Edward Fyson, of Hawstead Lodge, Bury St.
Edmund's, England. He was an employee of the Canadian Pacific Railway
Company, Vancouver. |

Private
29201 George Albert Green was born in Creeting. He enlisted in the
8th Suffolk Regiment in Stowmarket. He served in France & Flanders
and died of wounds on 12th October 1917 aged 25. He is remembered
on the Tyne Cot Memorial Panel 40 to 41 & 162 to 162A and on Creeting
St Peter War Memorial. He was the son of Jacob and Ann Maria Green,
of 3, Council House, Creeting St. Peter. |

Gunner
98338 Alfred Jack Hawkins was born in Needham. He enlisted in the
Royal Field Artillery 68th Brigade Ammunition Column in Suffolk.
He served in Egypt from 19th July 1915 and died on 21st December
1917. He is buried at Cairo War Memorial Cemetery Grave O76 and
is remembered on Creeting St Peter War Memorial. |

42468 Horace Reason was born in Creeting St Peter. He originally
enlisted as 6255 in the Royal Fusiliers in Chelsea, later transferring
to the 5th South Wales Borderers Regiment. He served in France &
Flanders and died of wounds on 22nd April 1918 aged 35. He is buried
at Wimereux Communal Cemetery Grave XI. E. 8A and is remembered
on Creeting St Peter War Memorial. He was the son of Shephard and
Mary Reason, of Creeting St. Peter. |

enlisted in the 2nd Suffolk Regiment in Ipswich. He served in France
& Flanders from 1st April 1915 and was killed in action on 13th
November 1916. He is buried at Luke Copse British Cemetery, Puisieux
Memorial 20 and is remembered on Creeting St Peter War Memorial. |

8/3424 John Robert Tiffin was born in Graton. He enlisted in the
2nd Suffolk Regiment in Stowmarket. He served in France & Flanders
from 15th September 1914 and died of wounds on 26th May 1916. He
is buried at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension (Nord) Grave I.
A. 25 and is remembered on Creeting St Peter War Memorial. |

14655557 George Clements Green served in the Rifle Brigade 10th
(2nd Battalion, The Tower Hamlets Rifles) Battalion. He died on
25th August 1944 aged 19. He is buried at Florence War Cemetery
Grave II. E. 8 and is remembered on Creeting St Peter War Memorial.
He was the son of George and Ellen Amelia Green, of Creeting St.
Peter. |

1142085 William Charles Holden served in the Royal Artillery 97
Anti-Tank Regiment. He died on 11th April 1944 aged 26. He is buried
at Creeting St Peter Churchyard and is remembered on Creeting St
Peter War Memorial. He was the son of Christmas George and Rose
Ella Holden, of Creeting St. Peter. |
