The Fenton Boer War Memorial takes the form of three plaques. The names of fallen soldiers are inscribed on three plaques inside the Stoke-on-Trent Town Hall.

Urban District of Fenton

This tablet is erected to commemorate the services
and patriotism of Fenton townsmen who served
their Queen and country in the Boer War 1899 -1902
and to perpetuate the memory of the following
non-commissioned officers and men who died
of wounds or sickness during the campaign.

COLLIS

William Henry

Private 3969, 4th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment. Died of disease at Deelfontein 22nd April 1901.

CRITCHLOW

Private 3236, 2nd Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment. Died of disease at Spingfontein 28th October 1900.

GILES

John

Private 6166, 2nd Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment. Died of enteric at Charlestown 25th January 1902.

HEMMINGS

Henry

Corporal 2604, 2nd Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment. Died of disease at Bloemfontein 17th April 1900.

LEIGH

William

Private 5805, 4th Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment. Died of disease at Grootfontein 11th March 1901.

LOWE

Thomas

Corporal 6482, 1st Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers. Killed in action at Colenso 15th December 1899.

NICKLIN

Joseph Charles

Private 6282, 2nd Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment. Died of enteric at Charlestown 8th March 1902.

Bernard John

[Also listed as OUTRAM] Lance Corporal 6385, 5th Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. Died of disease at Middelburg 20th May 1901.

Lance Corporal 1842, 2nd Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. Died of enteric at Charlestown 23rd March 1901.
