ALTON WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information

The war memorial is located on the east side of the High Street on the external corner of the churchyard extension. It akes the form of a canopied Calvary cross mounted on an octagonal column set on a two-stepped base. The whole memorial is set into the churchyard wall and reached by a flight of steps. There are 27 names for World War 1 and 7 for World War 2. There is a further Roll of Honour in the church.
