The memorial is to be found in the grounds of the parish church. The memorial covers World War 1 only and is made from sone. The base is surmounted by a block, plinth, tapering shaft and a wheel cross, the inscriptions being on the base and the block. There are thirteen names for World War 1.

ELDERKIN	Maxwell	CSM, L/8667, 1st The Queen’s, Royal West Surrey Regiment. Killed in action 12-04-18. Born London, enlisted Guildford. Step-son of Frederick and Emma Elizabeth Ingram, Upper Glapthorn, Oundle; husband of Ellen Elderkin, Abinger Cottages, New Cross Road, Stoughton, Guildford. Commemorated on Ploegsteert Memorial, Panels 01 and 02.
HOSTEAD	Joseph	Sergeant, C/6721, 18th King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Killed in action 16-06-17, aged 29. Born Glapthorn, enlisted East Ham. Son of John and Kitty Hostead, Glapthorn; husband of Violet Scambler (formerly Hostead), 42, Kingswood Road, Goodmayes, Essex. Commemorated on Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Panels 51/53.
INGRAM	Alfred Victor	Private, 10098, 1st Northamptonshire Regiment. Killed in action 03-07-15, aged 18. Born Glapthorn, enlisted Northampton. Son of Frederick and Emma Elizabeth Ingram, Upper Glapthorn, Oundle. Buried in Chocques Military Cemetery, Grave I.D.23.
INGRAM	Frederick Stafford	L/Sergeant, G/4539, 11th The Queen’s Royal West Surrey Regiment. Died Italy 20-12-17, aged 27. Born Glapthorn, enlisted Oundle. Son of Frederick and Emma Elizabeth Ingram, Upper Glapthorn, Oundle. Buried in Tezze British Cemetery, Italy, Grave VI.B.17.
JACKSON	Claud	Believed to be: Private, 23842, 1st Northamptonshire Regiment. Killed in action 20-08-16. Born Manea, enlisted Thrapston. Buried in Bazentin-le-Petit Communal Cemetery Extension, Grave Special Memorial, A.14..
KIRBY	Henry Augustus	Rifleman, 44654, 16th Royal Irish Rifles. Killed in action 03-08-17, aged 39. Born Glapthorn, enlisted Peterborough. Son of Charles Henry and Caroline Kirby, Uffington, Stamford. Educated at Oundle School. Commemorated on Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Panel 40.
MASON	Edward	Believed to be: Gunner, 110582, Edward Henry Mason, 250th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Killed in action 27-05-18, aged 45. Born Luddington, enlisted Northampton. Son of Mrs. Mary Jane Mason; husband of the late Clara Mason. Buried in Jonchery-Sur-Vesle British Cemetery, near Reims, Grave I.F.37.
PICK	Henry	Private, 18456, 7th Northamptonshire Regiment. Died of wounds 12-10-16, aged 29. Born Glapthorn, enlisted Market Harborough. Son of James and Emma Pick, The Post Office, Glapthorn; husband of Beatrice Alice Pick, Lower Glapthorn, Oundle. Buried in Barlin Communal Cemetery Extension, Grave I.E.16
SPEECHLEY	Harold	Private, 24420, 11th (Cambs) Suffolk Regiment. Killed in action Roeux 28-04-17, aged 23. Born Glapthorn, enlisted Oundle. Son of James and Frances Speechley, Glapthorn, Oundle. Commemorated on Arras Memorial, Bay 04.
UNDERWOOD	Arthur	Private, 43499, 1st Essex Regiment. Killed in action 12-10-16, aged 26. Formerly 23145, Northamptonshire Regiment. Born Oundle, enlisted Northampton, resident Glapthorn. Son of Mrs. E. Underwood, Glapthorn, Oundle. Buried in Bancourt British Cemetery, Bapaume, Grave IX.G.19.
UNDERWOOD	John Arthur	L/Corporal, 13612, 9th Leicestershire Regiment. Killed in action 14-07-16, aged 28. Born and resident Glapthorn, enlisted Worksop. Son of James and Mary Ann Underwood, Lower Glapthorn, Oundle. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Panels 02C/03A.
UNDERWOOD	Millin	Died August 1921. No further information currently. No Trace CWGC.
