Private 27956, 7th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment). Killed in action 13 November 1916. Aged 22. Born 11 January 1894 in Thornby-On-Tees, Yorkshire, resident Old Hurst, Huntingdonshire, enlisted Huntingdon, baptised 1 February 1894 in Thornaby, Yorkshire, son of James Amos and Ada Goldsmith Trundley, resident 15 Durham Street. Son of James and Ada Trundley; husband of Nellie L Trundley of Huntingdonshire, married July to September Quarter 1913 in St. Ives, Huntingdonshire. In the 1911 census he ws the son of James and Elizabeth Trundley, aged 17, born THornaby, Yorkshire, a Farm Labourer, resident Holwoods Lodge, Somersham Hunts, Somersham, Huntingdonshire. Buried in ANCRE BRITISH CEMETERY, BEAUMONT-HAMEL, Somme, France. Plot III. Row D. Grave 32.

Note the disparity in his mother's forenames.
